Panther offer a number of delivery service types that you can specify when you upload orders. If you are using the online form to add orders you can just select the appropriate type in the dropdown service type box, if you are using CSV or API you can you use must choose from the following for the basic service type (ServiceType field):
- ‘1’ for 1-man assisted delivery (under 31kg)
- ‘2’ for standard 2 man service
- ‘3’ for 3 man lift service (pre agreement from Panther required for this service)
These are the standard services that Panther offers.
Solo orders are normally received on a separate account and needs to be quoted for and setup separately. This would also be sent in the service type field as above.
- ‘SOLO’ for a solo delivery
Extra services types need to be setup on your account for you to be able to use them. Commercials need to be agreed for the additional services and your tracker account needs to have these services enabled. They need to be requested as they will not be added as standard due to the additional charges. Please contact your account handler or the sales team if you wish to start using the additional services Panther offer.
You can specific additional services using the ExtraServiceTypes[] array if using the API or via specific fields if using CSV, these are detailed in the field definition article:
- ‘A’ for assembly (Basic assembly of products such as divan beds)
- ‘W’ for wet install (Wet connection of white goods such as washing machines)
- ‘D’ for disposal (Collection of items from the customer that are to be scraped on receipt back at the Panther depot)
- ‘B10’ for Before 10 (Delivery between 0700 – 1000)
- ‘A6’ for After 6 (Delivery between 1800 – 2000)
For a swap out you need to raise a separate delivery and collection and book them for the same delivery date. This creates and instruction to deliver the replacement item to the customer and also to collect goods which will be returned to the client.
The data that needs to be entered for a collection is the same as delivery, bar the Supplier and Supplier Collection date. Collections and deliveries can not be entered on same line in a file and need to be raised separately as separate instruction. To raise a collection a 1 needs to be added to the Is_collection field.
